Interview Questions For Freshers

Having a degree in hand is not everything. Here starts you actual career. You need to start your job hunt now. And, in this competitive world, you need to stand unique in order to grab the right position by hitting all the candidates that are giving a tough competition to you. In order to achieve this, you need to showcase in the interview to the employer that you are the right person for the position.
Following are some HR questions for Freshers:
1.  Tell us about yourself
Ans: Begin with the current and explain how you are rightly qualified for the job. Note that the key factor to all successful interviews is to match the job requirements with your qualifications. In simple, you need to sell what the interview is buying.

2. Tell us about your best weaknesses?
Ans: The question may seem like a soft throw, but be well prepared. Do not try to be arrogant or egotistic.  Not is the time to be humble. The best way to answer this question is to discover the interviewer’s greatest needs and wants.
3.  Tell us about your best strengths?
Ans: Remember, this is an eliminating question, developed to cut-down the candidates list. Admitting a fault or weakness may earn an A for your honesty, but will earn only an F for the interview. Hence, it is a god idea to disguise your strength as your weakness. For example: “People often complain that I work harder than necessary, but I believe that I should do it in order to reach my goals.
4.  Why should we hire you?
Ans: This is considered as the killer question as many candidates are not at all prepared for it. If you adlib or stammer, you have blown it. By now, you have learnt the greatest desires and needs of the employer, and again you need to relate your skills with the interviewer’s requirements. This is the smart way to answer the question.
5.  Don’t you think you are overqualified for this job?
Ans: The interviewer may think that you will grow disappointed and leave the place. This question is an invitation to let the interviewer know a better way to think about the condition, seeing pros instead of cons.
6.  Where do you find yourself 5 years from today?
Ans: The main reason for interviewers asking this question is to know if you are willing to settle for this job, or using it just as a stop till things get better. Or, the interviewers want to gauge your ambition level.
7.  Why are you willing to work for us?
Ans: This question is to test if you have done any groundwork on the company. You will lose if you have not. You can win big if you have! This question is the right chance to hit the ball. Hence, make sure that you have done enough homework on the company before heading to the interview.
8.  What good books have you read lately?
Ans: As everything matters in the interview, do not fake the knowledge you do not have. Yet, do not show yourself as a dullard who has not read a book. Book reading is very helpful for enhancing many of your skills such as vocabulary, concentration, and many more. Hence reading handful of influential books that have recently launched in the market is a good step.
9.  What are your external interests?
Ans: Try to learn about this organizations culture in looking upon the employee’s outside interests and activities, and be guided consequently.
10.  Would you lie for the organization?
Ans: This is another question that is asked that ditches two values against each other, in this situations integrity against loyalty. The best way to answer this is to avoid choosing one between the two values, and to better give a positive statement to cover both the things. For example: “I will never do anything that can hurt the organization”.
